PokerStars WPT
Atlantis (Bahamas) Online Qualifier
Recently I was lucky enough to win a $12,000 seat in
the PokerStars WPT Atlantis (Bahamas) tournament, which takes place
this coming January. The satellite that I won was a $175 81-player
Double Shootout. The Double Shootout is essentially a 2-round
single-table Sit-n-Go, where you must finish 1st at your opening
table to advance to the final table, and then you must finish 1st at
the final table to win the WPT seat.Generally since this event is
winner-take-all, it plays a little different from normal sit-n-gos
where you might play overly tight or aggressive around the bubble
when 4 players remain. In this tournament, I tried to just play my
best poker at all times and not even think about the Bahamas until
